A review of Welsh institutional Widening Access Strategies 2006/07 to 2008/09 and the Reaching Wider Funded Proposals 2008/10

The review:

• compares widening access strategies and Reaching Wider proposals with Welsh Assembly Government policy objectives to identify progress towards achieving these objectives.
• maps practice and systematic comparison of activities and approaches within HEIs and regional Partnerships.
• compares, where possible, Welsh strategic approaches to widening access with widening participation/access developments elsewhere in the UK.
• provides findings, comparisons of practice, conclusions and recommendations to inform the future strategic development of widening access in Wales.
