Results from the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey
- Publication Date: 04-09-2013
This report presents the UK findings from the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) 2013.
The Postgraduate Research Experience Survey took place in a record 122 higher education institutions (HEIs) in spring 2013.
This report presents the national findings from PRES 2013, aggregating results from all participating institutions, and giving us the most comprehensive ever picture of the postgraduate research experience in the UK.
The report explains the redesign of PRES that took place in advance of the 2013 survey, and then presents findings for overall experience, supervision, resources, research culture, progress and assessment, responsibilities, research skills and professional development. It also examines whether student characteristics, discipline, mode of study and year group affect experience as measured by the survey.
