Constructing Female Identity, 1600-1800 - An example of peer course development
- Publication Date: 01-03-2002
Constructing Female Identity, 1600-1800 is an interdisciplinary post-graduate programme that is in the initial stages of development. During the summer of 2001 a group of 12 teachers at the University of Dundee devised an overall structure for the programme, which would begin with a semester of co-teaching on thematic points and then move to a semester of individual research projects supervised by one or two staff. The programme draws upon the multiple skills of a number of subject areas and makes use of the extensive regional resources in terms of manuscripts, artefacts and art.
