We aim to be an authoritative and independent voice on policies that affect the student learning experience. We foster robust debate, challenge received wisdom and create a forum for new thinking.
Our policy development work in Scotland is characterised by a partnership approach involving our key stakeholders and we are represented on all the main national learning and teaching forums.
We have also developed a distinctive strategic approach to guide our work in Scotland that recognises and builds upon the fact that we work at multiple levels; national/policy, institutional, as well as supporting discipline communities and individual staff throughout the UK. We have formalised our relations with Universities Scotland's Learning and Teaching Committee for a sector-wide institutional steer and created a new Academy Scotland Practitioners Forum which comprises representatives from Scottish discipline communities and educational developers.
