In 2007 and 2008, the Higher Education Academy supported a group of Scottish Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in embedding and monitoring their learning and teaching strategies. Seven institutions were involved in developing a resource available below: Aberdeen, Abertay Dundee, Glasgow, Glasgow Caledonian, Paisley, St Andrews and UHI Millenium Institute.
The aims of the group were to:
- Act as a networking forum for exchange of ideas, reporting on progress, voicing challenges and offering mutual support
- Develop a framework for monitoring the effectiveness of learning and teaching strategies within HEIs
- Develop models for Subject Centre support in the implementation of learning and teaching strategies in order to engage staff
This group met several times, and held two residential events, but is not currently active.
