Travel funds
HEA UK Travel Fund 2012-13
The UK Travel Grants scheme is designed to promote the sharing of good and innovative practice in the sector. It provides funds for staff and students to engage in activities that will support the development of teaching and learning practice by contributing to travel, accommodation, subsistence and event fees that will be incurred.
For 2012-13 separate streams will support
- students attending teaching and learning events in the UK,
- staff attending UK events to present papers on teaching and learning practice,
- staff crossing national borders within the UK to attend events.
The 2012-13 call is open to individual academic/academic related staff and students from HE providers subscribing to the HEA. Applications can be submitted between 1 August 2012 and 30 June 2013 and should be submitted at least one month prior to the date of the event. The funding is payable by BACS to the subscribing institution, payment from the fund can not be made direct to the applicant.
