The HEA has a UK-wide focus for enhancing teaching, learning and students' experiences in higher education. We work with institutions, discipline groups and individual staff within the four countries of the UK.
In Wales, the HEA works in partnership with Welsh higher education institutions and key sector organisations to support the development of policy and enhance practice in relation to learning and teaching in HE.
We work closely with the ‘Welsh Institutional Group' (WIG) to inform the strategic direction and further develop the distinctive approach of the HEA's work in Wales. WIG is made up of representatives from all subscribing Welsh HEIs and HEA representatives. The group meets three to four times each academic year. The Terms of Reference for the group are now available in both English and Welsh.
