Description
This report is the result of a joint study by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) and the Higher Education Academy (the Academy) exploring changes in quality assurance and quality enhancement taking place in Wales. A previous report
in 2008 focused on England and Northern Ireland.
Overall, the purpose of the project in Wales was to reflect back to the sector current practice and development and to support and encourage HE institutions in the enhancement of quality at various levels, such as on the one hand through curriculum development and on the other as part of a planned and systematic institutional approach. The project involved collecting and analysing data from information gathered through semi-structured discussions with HE institutions in Wales conducted through QAA’s institutional liaison scheme.
