The overwhelming majority of UK Postgraduate Research students (PGRs) - 82% - are satisfied with their programmes.
This is the headline finding of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) 2017. The level of satisfaction remains in line with the previous two PRES cycles in 2013 and 2015.
117 institutions took part in the PRES 2017, with a total of 57,689 individual responses, representing around 53% of the UK’s PGR student population.
