The Higher Education Academy (HEA) will deliver Fellowship Writing Workshops for 20 faculty members at Texas Woman's University this autumn to support faculty in applying to become Fellows of the HEA.

Seventeen academics from the Applied Science University (ASU), Bahrain, have become Fellows of the Higher Education Academy (HEA), sixteen as Fellows and one Senior Fellow. This makes ASU the first private university in Bahrain with HEA Fellows.
HEA Fellowship provides international recognition of a commitment to professionalism in teaching and learning in higher education.
The Higher Education Academy (HEA) is to work with the Royal University for Women (RUW) in Bahrain through a series of bespoke workshops to support the University's ongoing development programme for teaching staff.
The HEA will deliver programmes at RUW in September and November this year. The September workshops will be devoted to Teaching Metohodologies, including the use of technology in teaching. The November programme will focus on ‘Assessment and Feedback’ and HEA Fellowship.
The HEA is to work with Bahrain Polytechnic in a project to develop a new Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning.
Bahrain Polytechnic and HEA staff will work together to prepare the new PG Certificate and the institution’s existing Certificate in Tertiary Teaching and Learning (CTTL) and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) portfolio for HEA Accreditation, aligning the programmes to the globally recognised Professional Standards Framework.
HEA Chief Executive Stephanie Marshall told a record number of Times Higher (THE) webinar listeners that the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) metrics outlined in the government White Paper would evolve in future years and that they “should start preparing now for the discipline level TEF (TEF 3) which will take place in three years’ time.”
