
Sana Iqbal is the President of University of Central Lancashire Students’ Union. Alongside completing her degree in Pharmacy she was heavily involved in her Students’ Union during her time at University.
As current President, she has championed the building of a new Faith Centre, agreed a partnership agreement with the University and is currently co -chairing a project to improve the Student Voice Framework across the institution. She was re-elected in March 2017 for a second term.
On her way to becoming President Sana took on many volunteer roles including, Chair of Students’ Council, Faith rep, and founder of the Refugees Welcome campaign. A proud Muslim woman from a Pakistani heritage, Sana is passionate about creating interfaith dialogue on campus, improving access for students from a widening participation background and believes that education is an irreplaceable gift to be used to empower people to do great things!
