New to Programme Leadership: The Teaching Excellence Framework and Me Workshop

Understanding discipline-level assessment within the TEF

The Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) is set to transform the higher education landscape by promoting excellence in teaching and student learning. Starting with institutional assessment currently underway and extending in future years to discipline-level and postgraduate taught provision, the TEF will shortly touch every part of higher education.

The Teaching Excellence Framework and Me workshop is designed to provide academics of all levels with an overview of the system of assessment, including the planned institutional submission and then:

  • explore how discipline-level assessment could operate and the value this may bring to the sector;
  • examine the role that programme leaders and managers will play in improving quality and preparing for TEF submissions.
